Florida Vacay FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the benefits of renting with Florida Vacay vs renting directly with an individual owner?

At Florida Vacay, you are working with a TEAM of professionals, who are knowledgeable, licensed and insured. If you need us, we are there to assist you to help ensure your vacation is the best it can possibly be. An individual owner may live in another area or state and may have other obligations or jobs that prevent them from being able to respond as quickly and as efficiently as we can at Florida Vacay. You can book with confidence that the vacation property you select is as presented online. We strive to keep all content current and fresh so you can “Look Now! & Book Now!”

  • Why is renting a vacation home better than staying at a hotel?

Simply stated…more space, more privacy, unique décor and overall savings. Once you experience a vacation in a private vacation rental home, it will be your vacation lifestyle from now on! You can cook meals, make snacks, have your own cocktail party, all in your private vacation home. Save money making your own breakfast, lunch and snacks so you can explore many local restaurants for dinner.

  • How can I always receive the best price for a vacation rental?

If you book directly with Florida Vacay Rentals either by phone or on our website, you will always pay less because you will not be required to pay the “Guest Fee” charged by the online, third party travel agents like Airbnb, HomeAway, VRBO, Booking.com, etc. All these online travel agents charge a fee to advertise on their website and they charge you, the traveler, a fee to book a reservation on their website. They DO NOT own the properties nor do they manage the properties, they only advertise the vacation properties. That’s why you may see the same vacation rental property on multiple sites. They advertise large amounts of “vacation rental inventory”, we actually represent the Owners of the Vacation Rental Property so we can save you money when you book directly with us at Florida Vacay. You can control your reservation and eliminate the “middle man” online.

  • I’d love to stay in one of your properties! What do I do next?

Great! You can book directly on the Florida Vacay website or give us a call and let us know more about you and what you want your special vacation to be so we can “point you into the right direction”. There are so many choices and so many things to consider when booking a vacation home in Florida! Call 321-221-7611 for a personal booking and vacay planning experience.

  • The property I was hoping to reserve isn’t available. Can you help?

Yes! We have a wide variety of properties available, and would be happy to make alternate suggestions.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

The Initial Reservation Down Payment must be paid with a major credit card. The Balance Due Amounts may be paid online with an eCheck (EFT) or regular check or money order mailed & received by Florida Vacay prior to the balance due date. Or, the Balance Due Amounts may be paid by credit card with a small processing fee.

  • Can you hold a property for me for a few days, a week or until I decide?

Because our vacation homes are in such high demand vacation destinations and listed globally, we cannot hold properties. Reservations are honored “first come, first served”. Please call us and we can help you with your vacation home decisions to ensure you get the right property and for the dates you want.

  • How do I obtain keys?

The week prior to your date of arrival, we will send you an email with Check-In instructions; which will include: driving directions, security gate access (if applicable), parking instructions, unique digital keyless entry codes and other passcodes for your vacation home. Please print this email or flag it on your phone and keep it with you during your stay for reference.

  • What time is check-in?

    Check-in is at 4 PM

  • Do you allow early check-ins?

An early check-in is dependent on whether or not the housekeeper has time to fully clean the home before your arrival. If guests are checking out the same day that your reservation begins, an early check-in may not possible as it will not allow the housekeeper enough time to fully prepare the home for you. Contact us a few days before your arrival and if possible, we will gladly accommodate you with a one-hour early check-in at NO additional charge. If there are no guests departing and the vacation home is ready, you can arrive as early as 8:00 a.m. for a small fee. Ask Guest Services about the possibility of a very early check-in time.

  • What time is check-out?

    Check-out is at 10 AM

  • Do you allow late check-outs?

If the night following your reservation is available, a late check-out and/or extending your stay another night may be possible, for an additional fee. Call us with this request as soon as possible as a late check-out must be arranged and paid in advance of your departure date; otherwise, standard Check-Out Procedures and fees will apply.

  • How old do I need to be to reserve a vacation home?

25 years old with a credit card in your name.

  • Is smoking allowed in the home?

All forms of smoking are prohibited in each vacation rental home (e-cigarettes, regular cigarettes, vaping, etc). The specific community where your vacation home resides has specific rules related to all forms of smoking. You must follow the guidelines of the community where you are staying.

  • Is housekeeping included during our vacation?

All our homes are serviced prior to your arrival and after your departure. Additional housekeeping services during your stay are available upon request for an additional fee. For longer vacation stays, it’s nice to have extra housekeeping to freshen up the home. Call and we’ll coordinate the service around your schedule.

  • What happens if we have a problem or need maintenance service while at the vacation home?

Contact Florida Vacay and tell us what’s going on, sometimes problems can be resolved over the phone. If necessary, we will send a Team Member or the appropriate service company to the home. Your “Welcome Email” includes all pertinent information about the vacation home; please refer to it for specific instructions about the amenities for that vacation home.

  • What happens if there is damage to the home?

By paying the Reservation Down Payment, you agree to the Florida Vacay Rentals, LLC Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and you agree to indemnify Florida Vacay Rentals and the Owner for any damages to the rental property, including damages to furnishings and household items, which are a result of your occupancy, excluding normal wear and tear.
